A wine that lacks tannins, most likely white. Unlike heavy, which is a flaw that is rarely fixed, light wines can still be quality wines. The lack of tannins, however, means it won’t age well, so drink up! Additionally, in the U.S., light wines are defined by having less than 14% alcohol.
