A wine described as crisp will taste brisk and refreshing.

A crisp wine is the result of a high level of acidity in the wine. The amount is not overwhelming, however, and does not create a bitter or sharp tasting wine. Instead, there is just enough acid to make the wine tangy, while keeping it fresh and cool.

Crisp is most often used to describe white wines.
